The Church of the Brethren has a treasure in its heritage - the often-unrecognized gold of our peace heritage. We will spend time looking at the roots of peace in the life of Christian faith (Brethren practice + Biblical roots + experiments in nonviolence). We will draw from the history of the U.S. Civil Rights movements and other struggles for justice. We will practice applying this heritage to problems like violence and injustice.
